____________________________________________ The vineyard
Champagne Bouché P&F runs a 30 hectares (75 acres) vineyard spread across nine different areas called « villages ». Each village has a different terroir (soil and subsoil) which provides to the wine a high aroma complexity.
The vineyard is 30 years old. However some vinestocks are 60 years old. They allow us to elaborate our prestigious cuvée : Cuvée Saphir.
One of the champagne secrets : a chalky subsoil, hills and a continental climate.
The vineyard is planted with the 3 classic varieties in Champagne : Pinot noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay. Chardonnay (white grapes) gives elegance and acidity ; Pinot Noir fruit and robustness, Pinot Meunier provides balance and roundness.
